Randy Meisner, founding member of the Eagles, passed away at 77 due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Randy Meisner was a founding member of the 'Eagles'. He played bass for Poco and Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band before joining the Eagles.


Meisner struggled with the Eagles' shift to hard rock and the demands of fame, leading to a dispute with Frey and his departure from the band in 1977.
